11 Pairs Of Shoes From Dr Martens Destined To Become Your New Favorites

I grew up in Florida, and when I went away to college in Boston, my first pair of “winter boots” were a pair of 1460s. They kicked butt then, and they still kick butt now. I’ve worn them with probably everything in my closet at least once and likely once for every activity, too. Walking in the city? Quick hike? Going dancing? They’re up for anything. Pair with thick socks for winter (okay, ultra-thick for a Boston winter) or thin socks for summer and rock them all year long. Sure, they’re a little creased, and I’ve been meaning to get some new insoles for them, but for a 13-year-old pair of shoes, they look pretty freaking great. Thanks, Docs!

Promising review: “I was stoked to finally fulfill my middle school wannabe alt dreams of owning white Docs! They’re as awesome as I hoped they would be and look great with my printed skirts. I’m typically a women’s size 9-and-a-half, but a men’s size 8, so I went with the men’s size-8/women’s size-9 and they fit perfectly! Breaking them in has been relatively easy. I layered fleece-lined leggings over my socks to pad my ankles, and it’s been really helpful. They also shipped way faster than I expected, considering I purchased them for Black Friday. Already recommending my roommate gets a pair!” —Victoria D.

Price: $170 (available in women’s sizes 5–12, men’s sizes 6–14, and three colors)
