For exes Naomi and Liev, their daughterâs coming-out experience was pretty simple. Speaking with Variety this year, Liev revealed that 16-year-old Kai never actually sat down and told her parents that sheâs trans, but had a âprofoundâ moment when she requested to change her pronouns. âKai was always who Kai is,â the actor said. âIt didnât feel like that big of a deal to me only because Kai had been so feminine for so long.â
As you may know, Kai is already making a name for herself in the modeling world, and itâs safe to say that her parents are loving watching her shine. âKai is such a fighter,â Liev told Variety. âItâs important that she goes, âHey, I am trans,â and, âLook at me.ââ Naomi is always supporting Kai on Instagram, too, and last year, she posted a sweet tribute to her daughter on her 16th birthday, writing: âYour sweetness is pure and Iâm the luckiest mommy in the world and that world is SO lucky that you are here!! You blow me away with your wild spirit, strength and yes your soft sweetness too.â
