These Horrifying Delivery Room Stories Will Make You Want To Settle For Being A Cat Mom

“My sister was pregnant with twins, so she had to go in every week to get her cervix measured. During an appointment, the specialist told her to go straight to the hospital because her cervix was ready. So she went to the hospital, already having cramps. The nurse hooked her up to the machine that monitors contractions, and it didn’t show anything. So the nurse told my sister that she wasn’t in labour, and it was ‘just gas.’ And of course, it’s Covid, so my sister was alone. She called my mom every hour that night, crying, saying she’s in so much pain, but they told her she wasn’t in labour.”
“The morning came, and a different nurse came in. She asked my sister how she was doing, and my sister wasn’t even able to speak because of the pain. The nurse got worried, rushed over to the machine, and noticed that the silly straps weren’t plugged in. So she plugged them in, the machine jumped up, and the nurse checked my sister and saw a head. After more observation by the doctor, they realized they couldn’t deliver them because of positioning, and she had to have an emergency C-section. Literally because some ignorant nurse didn’t check the machine, and fully ignored my sister all night, telling her she just had gas when she was in LABOUR with TWINS. The girls had to be in the NICU for two months. Everything is now fine, but it’s been three years, and I’m still angry even writing this.”
